in my meanderings through life and the bible and everything lately i’ve come to rely on one key fact: God is alive. the Bible is a great tool for getting to know God, it’s His inspired Word after all. however, there are many great tools that seem to go by without consideration. personally, the show farscape helped bring me closer and closer to God when i was going through a hardship. my brother uses time on the basketball court to clear his mind and pray. some of my friends use online games as a way to minister to people. day to day life is the tool that we use to shine to the world and one another about the awesomeness that is God. all of that said, keep this in mind when using a tool other than the directly inspired Word of God: “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you — unless, of course, you fail the test?” - 2 Corinthians 13:5
