the whole world

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
-John 1:29

for the sake of context the entire verse is included. which still doesn’t give any quote enough context as every verse is tied into every other verse in the bible. but this verse is one that reminds me that Christianity and Gospel aren’t confined by geopolitical boundaries. they are for the whole world, period. no one is exempt, and there isn’t anyone that God doesn’t want to hear His message. later, at the end of the gospels the followers of Jesus are told to go into all the world and spread the good news. but this is as His ministry is started. and it sets the tone as we’d say, for his ministry was to the whole world, not just a small sect of people, but all people. have i mentioned that He came for everyone yet? no? good. Jesus Christ came to take the sins of everyone in the world.

they can’t take that away

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
-2nd Corinthians 3:17

when God is with you, you’re free. where God spirit is, people who acknowledge it and embrace it are freed. the world can take what it wants, and drain someone till they are no more. but as long as they have the spirit of the Lord, they are still free.

finally, something!
