2nd timothy chapter 1

Well, i was sittin in church on sunday and was tryin to think of what i wanted to do next, and this poped into my head! So here it is. 2nd Timothy starts off with Paul’s intro of gretting and thankfulness of Timothy. Paul also points out that Timothy has been bleased with the spirit of power, love, and sound mind. Not the spirit of fear. It goes on to embelish on Timothy’s family and how he is the third generation that God has been working in, in his family. Starting in verse 8 Paul starts his comments on not being ashamed of the Gospel and who we are. God has saved us, he has saved us all. And we need to remeber that it is his purpose that we are living for, not our own. That purpose was revield to us through Jesus Christ when we excepted him as out saviour. The chapter sums up with this one thought: Be loyal to God and your faith, he will do wonders in both your life and other.

joy in philippians

always, in every prayer of mine making a request for you all with joy
-phillipians 1:4 NKJ

What then? only that in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this i rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
-phillipians 1:8 NKJ

Finally, my brethern, rejoice in the Lord.
-phillipians 3:1a NKJ

Well, be glad. Even when praying, be joyful. When preaching, rejoice. And finally, just rejoice. Even if something has been done wrong to you, rejoice in God. Joy is important in your daily life, no matter who you are.

to hear or not to hear

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
-Acts 10:44 NKJ

Well, this verse struck me so powerfuly. Everyone who heared. But the interesting thing I think we should all notice is that it was who heared, not listened. So basicly, I think we should all try to not only listen to what people say, but to also hear all the words. So that when someone speaks the word of God, that we can hear it, and we too can be filled with the Holt Spirit!
